Addenbrooke's Ophthalmology Dept. helping us to save sight!
We are delighted to announce that the Addenbrooke's Ophthalmology Department has chose Cambridge Eye Trust and Camsight to be their charities for 2021*.
Their first fundraising event, to take part in the Virtual Cambridge Half Marathon in March 2021. The team goal was to run 500 Km (310 miles) in one month - they achieved 3,158 km (1963 Miles), raising nearly £1,000! Thank you and well done!
After a month of running/jogging/walking in and around Addenbrooke's the 30 strong team of managers, orthoptists, optometrists, nurses, photographers, ophthalmologists, parents and children of eye health workers (plus 1 dog) collectively covered over 3000 kilometres and made it from Cambridge to just outside Jacksonville Florida.
